Brand Identity:
The Faithful Steward
Chris reached out as he prepared to launch The Faithful Steward - a new venture rooted in Catholic faith, financial literacy and purpose. Our journey began with finding the perfect name, one that captured the heart of his mission. Once The Faithful Steward was born, we brought the brand to life with a meaningful identity.
Initial Concept
Referencing Saint Joseph and his Lilly Staff, I created a brand mark incorporating a house and the lilly flower. While this was creative, Chris preferred Saint Joseph portrayed with the hammer (Saint Joseph The Worker). The colour palette needed adjusting slightly also.
Final Concept
Altering the brand mark, to now reflect a house merged with a Batok symbol (snake tongue to represent strength) also seen as Eucharist or rising sun, this worked. Not only was it personalised, it was a unique combination of Filipino tradition and minimalist form.
What began as a few ideas and words from a simple questionnaire, evolved into a brand identity that genuinely reflected Chris and the values behind his business; personal, intentional and timeless.
